Contact tracing for misinformation

Backward Contact tracing leverages two biases from the spreading network. In principle, backward tracing provides a powerful way to get to the super-spreaders.

Can we use a similar scheme for (vaccine-related) misinformation? Volunteers submit misinformation that they received in messengers or social media. Experts craft counter information. Those who identify misinformation can then send the counter-information to the original sender or the group chat. Volunteers can nominate more volunteers.
